The world's first all-online, five week seminar on time management life stewardship for educators.
Frazzled. Harried. Burnt out. Frustrated.
Too many of us feel this way at work and outside of it. Education is our calling, but it can come at the cost of our personal well-being.
- How do we do right by our students... and by all the other people in our lives who need us full and present?
- How do we create the kind of life that, if we get the chance to look back upon it from an elderly death bed, will be satisfyingly well-spent?
- How do we teach from the kind of fullness that comes from flourishing life?
These are the questions we'll explore in Life Stewardship for Educators -- the world's first cohort-based, all-online seminar on life stewardship for educators.
What's life stewardship?
It's time management with a purpose. Here we don't aim at productivity, but rather at wisdom. We want to do the best work we can as teachers, while at the same time honoring the reality that we can't do it all.
And to help us toward this, in the seminar we'll meet, discuss, learn, and complete mini-projects that draw us deeper into the ten disciplines beneath a well-stewarded life:
- The disciplines of engagement:
- Decide
- Obsess
- Simplify
- Satisfice
- Track
- Wrestle
- The disciplines of abstinence:
- Constrain
- Eliminate
- Rest
- Skip
And, for the first time ever, we'll do this together, in a live and thriving online community.
Taught by a teacher who's researched and tested these ideas for years.
Dave Stuart Jr. is a teacher who writes about his work in Cedar Springs, MI, where he lives with his wife and children. Dave's writing is read by over 50,000 teachers each month, and he has led professional development for educators in all 50 states in the US plus overseas. In this online course, Dave hopes you get the tools you need and the courage you crave to get a little bit better at the work each day.
